Dr. Rekha Chadalawada is a board-certified pediatrician. She is a graduate of Ranganaya Medical College of India and completed her pediatric residency in New York.

Among her most recent accomplishments is serving the community on the Sylacauga Board of Education and working with area schools to promote successful educational experiences for children and adolescents. School success is a priority goal for patients in her care. 

Dr. Rekha has a distinct love for children and their families. She is married with two children in college.

David Hardy, MD is a board-certified pediatrician practicing in Sylacauga and Chelsea. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama in Birmingham Medical School and completed his residency at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock. He, his wife, and his daughter live in Chelsea.

Dr. Sriharsha Rallapalle graduated from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile
 where he completed his pediatric residency in 2022. He was awarded the Pediatric Chief Exemplary Resident Award. Dr. Rallapalle graduated from Sylacauga High School and is happy to be back in his hometown.

Dr. Bret Surles is a board-certified pediatrician. He graduated from University of Mississippi Medical
School and completed his pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of Mississippi in 2021. He joined the
practice in 2022.

He is happily married to Dr. Ashley Surles who is an Ob/Gyn practicing in Sylacauga and they live in
Chelsea.

Darlene Mathis, DNP, CRNP is a board certified family nurse practitioner. Dr. Mathis earned her doctorate in nursing from Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio. She has additional degrees in nursing from Samford University, Auburn University, and Sylacauga Hospital School of Nursing. Dr. Mathis is our 'immunization champion' and is passionate about helping patients and their families meet healthy goals.

Emily Johnson, CRNP joined the practice as a board certified nurse practitioner in 2019. Both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in nursing are from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has a passion for preventative medicine and loves partnering with families to facilitate total body wellness from birth to adulthood. Emily lives in Indian Springs Village with her husband, two children, and their yellow lab.

Brittany McCullough is a board certified family nurse practitioner. She received both her undergraduate and graduate nursing degrees from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Prior to joining Summit Pediatrics, Brittany has worked as an RN since 2011 in specialities including medical intensive care, interventional radiology, and cardiology. She enjoys living in downtown Birmingham with her husband and son. Brittany loves providing care to children of all ages and is dedicated to keeping your little ones happy and healthy.

Savannah Turman is a board certified family nurse practitioner. She graduated from Samford University in 2013 with her undergraduate degree and again in 2021 with her graduate degree. Savannah worked as a registered nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit as well as Labor and Delivery before joining Summit Pediatrics in 2021. Savannah, her husband, and their 3 children live in Indian Springs Village. Savannah is passionate about providing quality care to the pediatric patients in our community!

Ashley Zeigler is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner with a focus in primary care. She received her graduate degree in nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2022 after completing her undergraduate nursing degrees from Grand Canyon University in 2020 and Central Alabama Community College in 2017. Ashley has worked in acute care as a pediatric nurse for 4 years at Children’s of Alabama and continues to do so in her free time. She has lived in the Sylacauga community all of her life and has always been passionate about caring for children. She lives in Fayetteville with her husband and two children, and is overjoyed to be able to provide high-quality, family-centered care to the children in her hometown.
